SEASON ONE:
Lawman, Raylan Givens, has shot a Miami criminal in the name of the law.  When his superiors question if the killing was justified, he is sent back to his hillbilly hometown of Harlan, Kentucky.  Here, he must not only face the demons of his past but also distrustful superiors and hostile locals as he attempts to hand out justice though the barrel of a gun.   

SEASON TWO:
In the aftermath of the deadly showdown that freed Harlan County from the crime reign of the Crowder family, criminal forces seek to fill the void and U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is caught in the crosshairs of a town under siege. As Raylan’s nemesis Boyd Crowder and brutal new adversary Mags Bennett look to seize power, the plight of a teenage girl whose father’s murder has left her at the mercy of his killers and a coal company’s heartless efforts to exploit the county’s poverty-stricken residents draw everyone into the centre of a deadly storm.

SEASON THREE:
In the aftermath of the Bennett family’s bloody end and Boyd Crowder’s return to the criminal life, Raylan Givens finds himself facing off against dirty politics, hidden fortunes and two lethal new additions to the Harlan County underworld.

SEASON FOUR:
Still reeling from his father’s betrayal and a deadly battle with the Harlan County underworld, Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens begins unravelling a cold  case that echoes all the way back to his boyhood and his criminal father’s bad dealings. Meanwhile, Boyd Crowder finds his grip on Harlan loosening due to a Pentecostal preacher with a penchant for theatrics and a knack for manipulation to rival his own.
